The child’s engraved name appears on the hull. Unlike a traditional money envelope, the ship remains on the shelf as a decorative object after unwrapping and becomes a lasting memento of the occasion.

The ship is made from 5 mm-thick, FSC-certified birch plywood, precisely laser-cut and engraved, left natural and without additional varnish. A separate base plate ensures that it stands securely on a shelf or sideboard. As wood is a natural product, the grain and color may vary slightly from piece to piece, making each ship unique. The name and pennant text are permanently laser-engraved into the surface rather than printed or applied as stickers.

The child’s name is engraved on the hull, along with a pennant message on the mast, which can be selected from the predefined occasions—birthday, first day of school, First Communion, Confirmation, or baptism—or written as a custom message. Twelve fonts are available for the engraving, ranging from playful to classic. The concept of the ship is simple: Instead of handing over money in an envelope, the banknote itself becomes the boat’s sail and thus part of the presentation. Standard banknotes up to A5 size can be inserted easily, as can multiple banknotes, vouchers, or a small greeting card. The banknote itself is not included and is added individually by the gift giver. After the celebration, the ship remains as a standalone gift, regardless of the amount of money inserted.

The arrangement of the name, pennant text, and animal companions may vary slightly depending on the selected font and text length, which is normal for custom-made products.
