Can I choose the name, date, and text freely?

Yes—you enter what should be engraved in the personalization field: the couple’s names, wedding date, a dedication, or a short saying. You also choose one of the 18 fonts and, optionally, a decorative accent (e.g., an olive branch, laurel bush, or small tree). We’ll create a design based on your engraving request, which you approve before production.

How does the personalization process work, step by step?

After your purchase, you will receive a digital engraving proof by message within 24 hours. You can review it at your leisure, request changes, and then give your final approval. We will only begin production after receiving your explicit approval. This way, you can be sure of what you will receive before the board is made.

What board shapes and sizes are available?

Choose from 6 board shapes: rectangular board with handle (30–35 cm), natural-edge herb board (25–45 cm), steak board with juice groove (35–50 cm), natural-edge antipasti board (35–50 cm), natural-edge cutting board with juice groove (30–60 cm), and natural-edge snack board (20–65 cm). Select the size directly in the variant field.

Is olive wood food-safe and dishwasher-safe?

Olive wood is naturally food-safe and antibacterial—ideal as a cutting board or serving board. Please do not put it in the dishwasher: prolonged moisture and dishwasher detergent can damage the wood. Simply rinse with lukewarm water and a small amount of dish soap, then allow it to dry. Occasional rubbing with olive oil keeps the board well cared for.

How long does production and delivery take?

After you approve your engraving, we will produce your board within 1–3 business days. Shipping within Germany is free, and delivery usually takes 1–3 business days after dispatch. Worldwide shipping with DHL, including tracking, is also available. For time-sensitive wedding gifts, we recommend ordering at least 10 days before the presentation date.

Why does the grain vary in my olive wood board?

Olive wood is a natural product—no two boards are alike. The grain, color (ranging from light beige to deep golden brown), and natural cut shape vary from piece to piece. This uniqueness is not a defect but the distinctive characteristic of genuine olive wood. The stated dimensions are approximate; variations due to natural factors are possible and intentional.

Ich habe das Olivenholz-Schneidebrett als Geschenk gekauft und mir dafür selbst den Spruch ausgesucht, der würde dann auf das Brett graviert. Die Schrift ist wirklich wunderschön geworden und gefällt mir ausgesprochen gut. 😊
Eine kleine Anmerkung habe ich zum rustikalen Rand: Beim ersten Blick habe ich die natürliche Rinde an der Seite tatsächlich gar nicht als solche erkannt. Ich dachte zunächst, dass diese Stelle vielleicht noch etwas bearbeitet werden müsste. 😳
Der Grund dafür ist, dass das Holz an dieser Stelle etwas splittert und dadurch eher wie eine unbearbeitete Stelle wirkt. Die natürliche Rinde erkennt man deshalb nicht sofort als bewusst gewollten rustikalen Rand.
Das ist wirklich nur als kleines Feedback gemeint. Ansonsten gefällt mir das Brett sehr gut und das ist sehr gut beim Beschenkten angekommen. 😊
