Matériau et finition

Matériau : bois d'olivier véritable – naturel, de qualité alimentaire et naturellement antibactérien. Nous utilisons exclusivement le bois d'oliviers qui ne donnent plus de fruits (origine durable). Le bois d'olivier est un produit naturel : le veinage, la couleur (du beige clair au brun doré profond), le bord naturel de l'arbre, les excroissances, les inclusions sombres et les fines fissures font de chaque planche une pièce unique. Motif : carte de ville/carte géographique personnalisée par gravure laser précise. Formes de cartes : ronde, rectangulaire, cœur. Tailles : env. 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 cm (longueur) – toutes les dimensions sont approximatives, la forme et le veinage varient naturellement. Origine : Allemagne. Entretien : rincer à l'eau tiède avec un peu de liquide vaisselle, ne pas mettre au lave-vaisselle, ne pas stocker humide en permanence, frotter occasionnellement avec de l'huile d'olive.

Can I choose the location, names, date, and text freely?

Yes—you specify in the personalization field which city or place should be engraved as a map (e.g., your wedding or first-meeting location), along with the couple’s names, the date, and optionally coordinates or a custom message. You also choose one of the 18 fonts and the map shape (round, rectangular, or heart-shaped). We incorporate everything into a design that you approve before production.

How does the personalization process work, step by step?

After your purchase, you will receive a digital engraving proof featuring your city map within 24 hours. You can review it at your leisure, request changes, and then approve it. We only begin production after your explicit approval—so you are guaranteed to see what you will receive before the board is made.

What card shapes and sizes are available?

The city map is available in three shapes: round, rectangular, or heart-shaped. For the size, choose approximately 35, 40, 45, or 50 cm in length directly in the variant field. Since olive wood is a natural product, all dimensions are approximate; the shape and grain vary from board to board.

Can I have any location engraved as a map?

Yes—we engrave a map of any place you want anywhere in the world: your wedding city, the place where you proposed, where you first met, or your home. Simply enter the location in the personalization field; if you wish, we can also add the geographic coordinates of the spot.

Is olive wood food-safe, and how do I care for it?

Olive wood is naturally food-safe and antibacterial, making it suitable for serving as well. Please do not put it in the dishwasher: prolonged moisture and dishwasher detergent can damage the wood. Simply rinse with lukewarm water and a small amount of dish soap, then leave to dry. Occasionally rubbing it with olive oil will keep the board well maintained.

How long do production and delivery take?

After you approve your engraving, we will make your board within 1–3 business days. Shipping within Germany is free (delivery takes 1–3 business days after dispatch); worldwide shipping with DHL, including tracking, is also available. For time-sensitive wedding gifts, we recommend ordering at least 10 days before the presentation date.

Destination, card design, names, and date can be chosen freely

You specify the desired location for the map, choose between the round, rectangular, or heart-shaped map forms, set the size, font, and engraving position, and add names, a date, plus an optional custom message or coordinates. Before production, you will receive a design proof for approval within 24 hours.

If you prefer a classic name and date engraving instead of a map design, you can find the olive wood board with engraving and without a map design in the shop. Both versions share the same material and craftsmanship but differ in their design, making them suitable as two different gifts for the same newlywed couple.
