Personalized Wedding Favor Tags | Mirror Acrylic Place Cards with Name & Date

The gift tag from LaserArt Germany is a round disc made of 4 mm thick mirror acrylic, with a small drilled hole at the top edge. The name, date, and optionally a small symbol are engraved by laser. The tag is attached through the hole with cord, ribbon, or wire—to the stem of a glass, a napkin, a jar of sweets, or gift packaging. It is available in three diameters (3.5 cm, 5 cm, and 8 cm) and three mirror colors (gold, rose gold, and silver). Unlike a place card that slips on, the tag is not tied to a single position.

At a celebration, three different items are usually purchased: place cards for the seating arrangement, glass markers to ensure no one takes the wrong glass, and tags for the party favors. The round acrylic tag serves all three purposes because it can be attached anywhere through its hole. This reduces purchasing, costs, and the effort involved in setting the table. Since the name is engraved rather than printed, the tag remains useful as a keepsake and is often taken home by guests.

We use cast mirror acrylic, 4 mm thick, in gold, rose gold, and silver finishes. The laser cuts the disc into a round shape and drills the hole at the edge; the edges are deburred so the cord does not catch. The engraving removes the mirror coating and exposes the acrylic underneath — creating a visible contrast that does not wipe off, fade, or peel. The material is lightfast, shatter-resistant, and, unlike real metal, does not tarnish. It is made in our workshop in the Black Forest.

A soft, slightly damp cloth is all that is needed for care. Avoid abrasive cleaners and glass cleaners containing alcohol or ammonia, as they can leave fine scratches in the mirror coating. The pendant is not dishwasher-safe and should not be exposed to sustained temperatures above 60 °C. With normal handling, it will remain attractive for years — even after years in a memory box.

Four details determine the result: the color (gold mirror, rose gold mirror, or silver mirror), the font from 25 script fonts and 7 print styles, the engraving position (one line, two lines, name with date, name with symbol, or name with symbol and date), and the engraving text itself. On the product page, the font preview lets you view your name live in all fonts before placing your order. Two font numbers can be combined for different parts of the text, such as a name in script and a date in print. Small symbols such as a heart, fish, star, or olive branch are available on request. A design proof can be sent before production upon request.

The diameter determines how much text fits on the tag and how it looks. At 3.5 cm, a single-line name is ideal—this size is suitable for place cards on glasses because it is lightweight and does not get in the way when making a toast. At 5 cm, the name and date fit comfortably one above the other; this is the usual choice for napkins and party favors. At 8 cm, there is room for a name, date, and symbol, and the mirrored effect is shown to its best advantage—suitable as a tag for larger gifts or as a standalone decorative element. The quantity is selected as an exact number of pieces, and the unit price decreases as the quantity increases.

The tag is mainly purchased by bridal couples and witnesses for the wedding table, by parents and godparents for baptisms, First Communions, and confirmations, as well as for milestone birthdays and company celebrations. Typical order quantities range from 20 to 100 pieces for an event; individual pieces are ordered as gift tags for larger presents. The fish symbol is chosen primarily for baptisms and First Communions, while the heart is chosen for weddings and anniversaries. As each tag is engraved individually, sufficient lead time should be allowed for larger quantities.
